DONATION OF MILK

Mother's milk is essential for newborn babies for nourishment and to provide immunity against infections in the early days. However some mothers fail to produce enough milk for the child due to certain clinical reasons. To be of help to such babies, mother's milk banks have started functioning in Karnataka. Lokmanya Tilak hospital in Mumbai was the first in Asia to start this facility and it was followed by Gujarat and Karnataka.
